Interview Me
What year did you become a real estate agent?
I became an agent 2004 (Attorneys remain exempt from license requirements under Texas law. However, the law governing Realtors was amended to provide that Texas licensees could not share commissions with attorneys, so. I joined up.)
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
I have been doing real estate transactions since 1984. Initially I did large commercial transactions ($20,000,000+)
What is the average home price in your market?
Our home market in San Antonio varies widely from $50,000 to $1,000,000 or more.
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
San Antonio remains in an economic bubble compared to the rest of the country. Military spending is strong, new companies (Whataburger and Medtronics) are moving in, but we lost the national headquarters for ATT.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I love San Antonio and I love helping others discover our city.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
Emotional sellers, the hard work it takes to correctly stage a property for sale. Buyers are interested in the city, so getting them acquainted with the neighborhoods is fun. If you are comfortable with the neighborhood, you can be comfortable with a purchase.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
I have had a number of times where people wanted to give me money in addition to my commission because they felt I helped them so much. Humbling experience.
What is your best characteristic?
My understanding of the process and my depth of knowledge about the city.
Who or what inspires you the most?
When you are in the service of others you are in the service of heavenly father. Real estate gives me the opportunity to help others and make a living. I am blessed and grateful.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Winner: Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.Runner up: A smile costs nothing.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
San Antonio
